Therapeutic Supervised
Our specialty is an evidence-based program entitled PCIT, or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.  PCIT is a parenting program focusing on improving parent-child relationships and decreasing problem behaviors in children ages 2-12. This program can be adapted for younger or older children as well.
 
 
THERAPISTS:
 
Charity Andrews, M.A., L.P.C.
Ms. Andrews graduated in 2004 with her Masters in Counseling from Regis University in Denver, CO and her Bachelor's in Psychology from Colorado State University in 2002.  She is currently a full-time case worker for Larimer County Department of Social Services as well as a Certified Play Therapist intern.  She has experience in foster care, adoption, casework, play therapy and counseling with young adults.  Ms. Andrews is a Certified PCIT Therapist.

Lisa Andrews M.S., L.P.C.
Ms. Andrews is a co-owner of P-CIC with Sarah Carlson.  Ms. Andrews received her Master’s in Counseling from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1995 and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1991. Ms. Andrews is a Certified PCIT Therapist.
 

Susan Bartlett, MSW

Ms. Bartlett received her Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver in 1993 and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Colorado in 1991.  Ms. Bartlett has worked in the school system as a Licensed Social Worker for 10 years, working with children with disabilities and coaching teachers in developing positive behavior support systems.  She is currently in training to become a PCIT therapist.


Sarah Carlson M.S., L.M.F.T.

Ms. Carlson is a co-owner of P-CIC with Lisa Andrews.  Ms. Carlson graduated in 1996 from California State University, Fullerton, with a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The University of California, Riverside in 1993. Ms. Carlson is a Certified PCIT Therapist and has been licensed since 2000.
 
Ann Cope, L.P.C.
Ms. Cope has been counseling since 1997, when she graduated from Antioch University, Seattle, with a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Beginning with her internship, Ann’s focus became work with teens in inpatient treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. Ann is both a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Certified Addictions Counselor II, in the state of Colorado. Other specialties include work with bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, all varieties of abuse, codependency, gender variance issues, and life transitions of all kinds. Ms. Cope can work with “tweens”, teens, and adults.  Ms. Cope is currently in training to become a PCIT therapist.
 
Josie Dove, M.A.
Ms. Dove graduated in 2010 with a Master of Arts in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, CO.  She is trained as a Dialectical Behavior Therapist, has experience working with trauma, grief and loss, HIV/AIDS, and is currently in training to become a PCIT therapist.

Martha Ratliff, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.
Ms. Ratliff graduated from the University of South Florida in 1986 with a MSW and from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in elementary education.  Ms. Ratliff has extensive experience working with clients of all ages and teaching The Incredible Years parenting program and specializes in play therapy with a focus on trauma and childhood abuse.
 
PROGRAM ASSISTANTS:
Anna Connelly
Ms. Connelly has her Associates Degree from Front Range Community College and has studied psychology and business.
 
Emily Connelly
Ms. Connelly graduated from Colorado State University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Business Administration.

The Programs
General Counseling
Counseling for adults, couples, families, and children on a variety of life issues.
 
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
PCIT takes place with the parent in one room with the child and the therapist is behind a one-way mirror communicating to the parent through an earpiece. 
 
Teacher-Child Interaction Therapy (TCIT)
P-CIC is hoping to pilot the evidence-based teacher training program in local schools.  Stay tuned!

Therapeutic Supervised Visits
For parents seeking a therapeutic setting to visit with their children after estrangement, during child custody disputes or child welfare cases.

Interactional Assessments
For parents who require professional assistance in assessing their interactions with their children and providing recommendations during child custody disputes or child welfare cases.

All components are available in Spanish, and therapy may be available in Spanish upon special request.
 The Location
The Parent-Child Interaction Center is conveniently located in the Poudre Valley Plaza, on the corner of Horsetooth & Shields in Ft. Collins. It is accessible by the Transfort bus route and has elevator service.  Click for a map of our location.
 
 
 
 
Payment Options
P-CIC will work with most major medical plans, Medicaid, CHP+, TriCare, Aetna, Blue Shield/Blue Cross, Cigna, and operates an adjustable fee scale based on ability to pay and income.  The therapists are Pro Bono Providers through Larimer Center Connections and Victim Compensation Providers through the District Attorney's office.
